During the covid pandemic Swindon council tenant organisations ceased to function. Since then, apart from Sheltered Housing tenants, who have TASH, the rest of us have no organisation to campaign for our interests, for an improvement of the service we get from the council.

As individuals we are powerless. Organised we can become a collective voice of the tenants.

Swindon Tenants Campaign Group was set up in 2011 to campaign against the transfer of our homes to a housing association. After we won the ballot (with a 72% No vote) and stopped the transfer, STCG helped to get the council to cut the debt payments, providing £3 million a year more for spending on our homes.
